They get counted twice because the output is piped into a second program
that dumps the counts into a database. In the COMPUTER format, the grand
total line is indistinguishable from a line which reports the number of
hits to a script without arguments, which makes it difficult to filter
out. Ideally, there would be a line which shows only the number of hits
to the script without arguments. And the grand total line could still be
there, but it should be easily distinguishable by using a unique field
identifier or something.

In the text and html formats, the grand total lines are easily
distinguishable because of their context (indentation, etc). But that
context is lost in the computer format.

Unfortunately, this is not an option because we *want* to keep the names
exactly as they are.

Thanks for your help. At least now I know that I can't suppress those
lines and will have to find a work-around.
