Please, no. If I want to change a feature ina program I shouldn't have to
rebuild it from scratch. Compile time features are, in my opinion, one of the
worst inventions of the unix world. Also, consider that the (admittedly,
barely) majority of Analog users are using a precompiled version (Win32, Mac,
OS/2, or an RPM or other binary package). And in the case of this feature, if
the code is there to support this why would you ever not want it supported?
