I was showing a friend how to use Analog to learn something about how
his site is being used when I can across an interesting entry in the
Referrer report.

The entry was a referrer from a Translator site, and looked something
like this:
http://translator.go.com/cb/trans_entry?input_type=url&url=analog.cx&lp=en_sp

translator.go.com is a site that will translate a give page into a
different language - in this case, translating analog.cx from English to
Spanish. There was only one such entry in my friends logs, but I imagine
that some people might see more such entries in their logs

It struck me that you might be able to treat referrers like babelfish or
translator.go.com as Search engines, and use the Search report to get
additional information about how many visitors to your site are using
translation services - if you see a significant amount of such traffic,
it might be worthwhile providing some information in the language your
site is being translated to.
