If the log entry you posted earlier is from the only logfile on the 
server, then the server is misconfigured - it's not gathering Virtual 
Host information. There is nothing Analog can do about information that 
doesn't exist. Don't waste any time trying to make Analog run a report 
on non-existent information. Spend the time getting the server fixed, 
and just deal with the fact that your existing logs aren't as useful as 
you would like.

If, on the other hand, the webserver creates separate logs for each 
virtual host, then you should just be getting the log file for just 
"virtualhost.com", and don't need to exclude anything.

That is exactly what it does, but HOST doesn't mean what you think it 
means.

HOSTURL simply provides the URL for the banner at the top of the report. 
Analog can't do VHOST reports on a logfile that doesn't include VHOST 
information.
