Greetings;
I'd appreciate your help with two LANG file issues, one mail and one ftp . I've
downloaded the files needed to process sendmail logs, but am having difficulty:
$ analog --version
This is analog version 4.11/Unix
$ cat /var/log/maillog* | /usr/local/src/analog/maillog2commonlog sendmail |
/usr/bin/analog +C"CONFIGFILE /usr/local/src/analog/analog_mail.conf" +C"LOGFILE -"
+C"OUTPUT COMPUTER" +C"OUTFILE /tmp/mail.dat"
/usr/bin/analog: Fatal error: language file /usr/local/src/analog/mail.lng too short:
exiting
Here is what I downloaded:
$ ls -l *mail*
-rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 949 Aug 23 20:50 analog_mail.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 8696 Aug 23 21:05 mail.lng
-rwxr-xr-x 1 nobody nobody 5245 Aug 23 20:27 maillog2commonlog
Is the syntax of the invocation bad, am I missing additional configuration, or
something else? The errors page indicates a mal-formed .lng file, but it's difficult
to believe that the file would posted with such errors, so I feel the error is mine
somehow.
Also, I would like to process ftp logs in xferlog format; is there available an
ftp.lng LANG file or some other mechanism to get meaningful output?
Thanks for your considerations,
tony
