Not in the versions of Analog I use - I just ran a logfile through
logfix, and Analog versions 3.31 and 4.11 both recognized the
logfile with a lowercase #software: line.

I can assure you that it's not in the FAQ because it's not a frequently asked
question. I've no idea why Analog didn't auto-detect your logformat, but it
definitely isn't because LOGFIX lcased your logfile. (Though looking at the code
now, I'm not sure why I put the lcase() there, rather than in the actual
comparisons).
