thanks. You're right, something strange was going on with 2 of my httpds.
Jeremy W. suggested recompiling, which I eventually did not have to do.
The "time problem" (which I really couldn't solve for few days)
dissapeared as soon as I replaced the binary with its clone from a
different server... 

I did not want to use LOGTIMEOFFSET, since I normally transfer the logs to
an auditing company as well (IPro)/
