I guess I did not explain it right. This is what is happening. Lets say
Yahoo put a graphical link to my site on their homepage but did not download
my graphic, they linked directly to it. When a visitor loads Yahoo's
page, a request to *my* server for the graphic is made and logged in
*my* log file even though the requester does not visit my site.

Anyway, I am trying to exclude these image requests from the distinct
hosts served total. I figured if I used the FILEEXCLUDE it would work
but it did not change the number of distinct hosts. Hope I explained
it a bit better this time.

PS - I know and don't mind that a FILEEXCLUDE will also exclude the number
of hosts reported that request images who happen to actually be at my
site.
