Hi;
for the (very) little I know about REGEXP, the following line
HOSTALIAS REGEXP:^216\.[0-5]\.*\.* digex.net
should be able to catch all the IP in the range
216.0.0.0 - 216.5.255.255 and nothing else.
But I'm probably doing something wrong, since Analog with that
HOSTALIAS also catches IPs like 216.32.175.26 and 216.35.103.61.
To rule out any possible interference by other HOSTALIAS
I run some tests with a fake log using the following IPs
216.0.1.81
216.15.93.81
216.25.108.81
216.35.103.81
216.45.116.87
216.5.10.81
216.55.16.87
216.65.3.80
216.75.203.81
216.85.203.81
216.95.203.81
216.105.203.81
and a very basic .cfg file which included
HOSTALIAS REGEXP:^216\.0\.*\.* dot.com
HOSTALIAS REGEXP:^216\.1\.*\.* me.net
HOSTALIAS REGEXP:^216\.[2-5]\.*\.* foo.org
and this is what I got:
#pag.: %pag.: host
-----: ------: ----
5: 41,67%: foo.org
2: 16,67%: me.net
1: 8,33%: 216.95.203.81
1: 8,33%: 216.85.203.81
1: 8,33%: 216.75.203.81
1: 8,33%: 216.65.3.80
1: 8,33%: dot.com
Something is not working here. It must be my sintax, it can't be
Analog (v 4.13, running on Win98)
thanks
Massimo
