I need help setting up subdomain reporting.

I currently host many ( >2000 ) free hosting sites on a single domain name called
terrasites.com.
To do this, I use a directory scheme off of the /home/domainname directory to separate
the accounts.

Example:

http://terrasittes.com/account1
http://terrasittes.com/account2
....
http://terrasittes.com/account2000

where /accountxxx is the username...

to give the customers the look of a top level domain I use wildcard subdomains and
give the customers the option of having a URL that looks like this:

http://account.terrasites.com

To achieve this, I use a mod_redirect scheme to rewrite the URL;
http://account.terrasites.com/pages.html
to
http://terrasites.com/account/pages.html

here is the problem...

I use the config
SUBDIR /*

While this works fine for customers that use the URL,
http://terrasites.com/account/page.html, when the customer uses the URL,
http://account.terrasites.com/page.html and the mod_redirect rewrites the URL, all of
the accounting for subdirectories and pages for all accounts are lumped under the root
/

Is there a way to set up analog to list all of the subdomains (and I mean 3rd level
subdomains) and their subdirectories?

I have a problem from time to time with warez and the only way to find out who is
doing is to see what account is pulling a lot of transfer. With the reports as they
are, 90% of all request are coming from the / dir.

Let me know if this is possible.

thanks in advance,

Carl
