On a new install (last new site using analog was 2+ years ago), my Domain
and Organization reports say just
91133: 100%: [unknown domain]
My Host report lists the domains, but numerically:
#reqs: %bytes: host
-----: ------: ----
379: 0.48%: 100:.153.165.216
159: 0.20%: 106:.153.165.216
94: 0.15%: 106:.208.188.205
366: 0.43%: 109:.153.165.216 etc...
I'm running on RH Linux 6.2 using analog 4.13 with DNS READ, DNSFILE
dnsfile.txt, and the appropriate floors set to -100r or -100b. The
dnsfile.txt is happily being filled by dnstran 1.3.1 with translate,
compress, and private all set to "no". The start of dnsfile looks like:
16272270 205.188.208.41 cache-db05.proxy.aol.com
16272270 64.45.92.9 mail.fkchs.sad27.k12.me.us
16272270 205.188.209.136 cache-dq04.proxy.aol.com
16269390 204.147.94.129 *
The times in the dnsfile seem right. Analog creates no error messages. The
debug output shows ordinary-looking stuff plus 251 lines that look like:
U: 11:
U: 178:
U: 186:
which tells me only that those domains are not being found. Running analog
-settings shows only things that seem normal. A search of the mailing list
archives failed to find any solution to this.
So what am I doing wrong?! If only this would have happened this summer
while Stephen was here in Madison :-))
