Hello folks, and thanks in advance for any help you can give,

I am the web admin for a relatively small, fetish erotica web site that
has a members-only section, meaning people pay to get access to it.
We're not a particularly technical bunch, being more into the
photography angle than anything else.

We've been having huge problems of late with passwords being posted to
'hacked password websites'. Our bandwidth skyrockets when this happens
(which of course we have to pay for) and as often as not the strain on
our server crashes it.

We do not have a log analysis program set up on our server, so finding
out which passwords have been compromised requires manually downloading
the log file and eyeballing the text. It is virtually impossible to do
this except at midnight when our file resets due to the file size of the
log.

My question is simply; Does the 'User Report' report on which passwords
were used to gain access? If it does, then Analog is the thing for us.

I am curious too (and the question may reveal the true extent of my
ignorance), does the 'Failed User Report' report on attempts to use
passwords that were not recognized? Meaning, can I use that report to
identify the IP addresses of hackers trying to crack a password?

Unfortunately I cannot simply download a copy of Analog and try it out
to see if it does these things, as I do not run the server myself. We
co-host with a company a few thousand miles away.

Peter
