Stephen, thanks for your suggestions. My config. file already contained REQFLOOR 1r. I
added REQINCLUDE * but it appeared to make no difference to the results, apart from
listing everything in the Request Report.
However, I owe you and Jeremy an apology, as I have spotted that files /ns*.asp ARE
being reported with FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm, and I suspect that the reason I had not
found them was that:
with FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm commented out, 524 requests are reported in the Request
Report for "nsmain_index.asp".
with FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm uncommented, 192 requests are reported in the Request Report
for "nsmain_index.asp".
so they did not appear in the same place in the report (however I know I did "Find in
page" searches yesterday for /ns and I'm not sure why I didn't find the
/nsmain_index.asp entries, as I can find them OK today).
Once I did find the /ns*.asp pages, it's obvious that FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm is working
properly as:
with FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm commented out, you get the .htm files
524: 1.54%: /nsmain_index.asp
171: 0.50%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/stainless/stainless.htm
88: 0.26%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/articles/art_search.asp
49: 0.14%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/about/about.htm
40: 0.12%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/links/links.htm
38: 0.11%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=mem/members.asp
29: 0.09%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/about/memapp.asp
27: 0.08%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/locator/locator.asp
21: 0.06%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/about/contact.htm
20: 0.06%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/services/pubs.htm
15: 0.04%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/news/news.htm
whereas with FILEEXCLUDE /ns*.htm uncommented, you get only the .asp files
192: 0.64%: /nsmain_index.asp
88: 0.29%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/articles/art_search.asp
38: 0.13%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=mem/members.asp
29: 0.10%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/about/memapp.asp
27: 0.09%: /nsmain_index.asp?page=/locator/locator.asp
Once again, sorry for troubling you. I'm only starting to get into this sort of detail
with reports and it's definitely a learn by trying experience!
