The following lines are near the top of my error file:

F: Opening dnscache as DNS input file
F: Closing DNS input file dnscache
C:\Program Files\Analog\analog 4.16\analog.exe: Warning F: DNS  
lock file dnslock already exists: backing off to DNS LOOKUP

I presume from this that the dnslock file is causing the trouble? 
Should this file be deleting itself after each run, and is still there 
because at some point it didn't do so?
