"Unwanted" means the lines were understood, but you've explicitly excluded
them with an INCLUDE/EXCLUDE or FROM/TO.

Analog's COMMON log format understands this, so it looks like your LOGFORMAT
is wrong.
The mistake may not be where the * is, by the way -- that's just the first
place analog was able to realise that it had gone wrong.
