I didn't propose anything - I simply corrected the entry you originally
posted (you were using LOGFORMAT instead of APACHELOGFORMAT, and I
rationalised the number of \ characters).

How is the format specified in your Apache configuration? The whole point
of the APACHELOGFORMAT command is that it uses exactly the same syntax as
the log specification in the Apache httpd.conf
