Well, it depends in what detail you want to "eavesdrop". It's the job of
analog to produce summary statistics. If you want to see in what order an
individual visitor moved round the site, there is no substitute to looking
in the raw logfiles. Similarly, there are some sorts of inference about what
a visitor was probably doing which a human can make but which a computer
program can't.
