Never Mind...Sorry I guess it was just something that got screwed up when I edited one of the files in notepad.  Reverted to the old one and edited it with vi and all is well!

I have made the suggested changes to the makefile for Solaris...  DEFS = -DNEED_STRCMP  and  LIBS = -lnsl -lm
