Okay, that's brain melting but worryingly logical! Thanks muchly.

Still got one minor problem though; I've used

LOGFILE /path/to/logs/*.access.log.gz http://%v
SUBDIR http://*/*

which almost works as I need it; however, everything below http:// is
regarded as a subdirectory and http:// itself is regarded as a directory
- which is logical, but looks odd;

 reqs: %bytes: directory
-----: ------: ---------
15664: 100%: http://
10754: 65.80%: http://blah.blah.uk/
 7029: 44.32%: http://blah.blah.uk/section1/
 2705: 14.72%: http://blah.blah.uk/section2/
 2713: 18.28%: http://boom.boom.uk/
 1024: 10.45%: http://boom.boom.uk/section1/

and it looks odder once Report Magic has prettified it.

Ideally I'd like http:// and http://blah.blah.uk not to count as
directories, so that it becomes something like

 reqs: %bytes: directory
-----: ------: ---------
 7029: 44.32%: http://blah.blah.uk/section1/
 2705: 14.72%: http://blah.blah.uk/section2/
 1024: 10.45%: http://boom.boom.uk/section1/

if that makes any sense. I'm sure there's some kind of DIRFLOOR or
something to do this, but once again I'm floundering. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance (again!),
Angus

The above opinions are mine, and Edinburgh Uni can't have them.
