Well, the server makes a separate request for each graphic as well as for
the main page. So it's possible for a graphic to be 304 and the page to be
200, or vice versa.
The Status Code Report counts all files, whether they're graphics or pages.
Now you can declare 304's not to be successes using the command
304ISSUCCESS OFF
and I guess this is probably what you want. But note that 304 requests _are_
often presented to the user. You shouldn't think of them (all) as checks
taking place in the background.
