Well I have got it to work. The problem was the +VF option at the end of
the Analog command I was running. Without this cron completed the job OK.
Due to the set-up of cron here I have found it difficult to get STDERR
output from it so i can't give you any more info than this. Sorry. From
your excellent documentation I cans see that the V option returns debug
info but the F option seems to return the FROM date. I have inherited this
set-up from a previous sys admin and have not used Analog before so I don't
know why the F option is used.
Anyway, thanks to Stephen and Chuck for their time and help. Analog is
a great program. I am glad I have managed to get it going with cron.
