I've been using IE 5.5SP2 on all my machines since it was released, and
I've never encountered any problems with it. My guess is that the cache on
your PC contains some corrupt images, and that's what's causing the
problem that you're seeing. Try clearing your cache.

And do you see the problem when looking at the sample report at
<http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~sret1/stats/stats.html>?
