Here is what I get from IE running on the final developers beta of 
Windows XP:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0b; Windows NT 5.1)

I also see this in my site logs:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

Which I belive is the ship version. That would mean that "NT 5.1" means 
XP.
