I upgraded to Analog 5.1 today to see if the SUBORG bug got fixed and
while trying to figure that out I ran into a good deal of difficulty
reading logfiles other than those named WebSTAR.log.

I am using Mac OS 9.1.

With the new version of Analog, I cannot specify a logfile other than
the default (WebSTAR.log) when I open Analog through any configuration
file. That is I double-click a configuration file, which is set to open
in Analog.

This is the simplest way I found to get the problem to show. I used
fresh versions of the distribution so other config files wouldn't
interfere.

First with Analog 5.0.3, which doesn't show this problem:
- Rename existing analog.cfg to something else and make an analog.cfg
with the following:

#Configuration file for Analog 5.x
LOGFORMAT (%m/%d/%Y\t%h:%n:%j\t%S\t%r\t%b\t%B\t%f\t%t) #includes
referrers
LOGFILE other.log
SETTINGS ON
#

- Set the analog.cfg to open in Analog if it doesn't already (creator
MAG^) and open the file. The settings output contains:

Reading logfiles:
  other.log
    Warning: cannot open that file
    Logfile format:
      %m/%d/%Y\t%h:%n:%j\t%S\t%r\t%b\t%B\t%f\t%t\n

The warning can be ignored.

However, when I do the same thing in Analog 5.1 I get this when I open
the analog.cfg (and no settings are output either):

analog: Warning F: Failed to open logfile WebSTAR.log: ignoring it
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)

If I open the Analog 5.1 application itself I get the correct result as
in 5.0.3.

If I drag and drop the configuration file onto Analog 5.1 I get the
same problem.

I can change the logfile to something other than the default if I edit
the manconf.cfg, but not all of the reports I generate use the same
logfiles and reading all of them for any report seems excessive.
