Logformat: Log files do have #Software as the first line of the log files. Excerpt of first four lines follows:
#Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 #Version: 1.0 #Date: 2001-11-18 00:00:40 #Fields: date time c-ip cs-username s-ip s-port cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query sc-status cs(User-Agent) 2001-11-18 00:00:40 212.10.133.163 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /bluetooth/devpack/default.asp - 200 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+NT+5.0) If I comment out my log format command: LOGFORMAT (%Y-%m-%d %h:%n:%j %s %j %j.%j.%j.%j %j %j %r %q %c %B) Analog reports errors and does not create report. Internal Search query: I have added the following lines to my .cfg file: INTSEARCHENGINE /pointer.asp url INTSERACHENGINE /NL.asp url and INTSEARCHQUERY ON INTSEARCHWORD ON (I probably don't need the INTSEARCHWORD report, but I put in in to see what would happen.) Analog does not produce either report, and responds with the message (at the command window) G:\ANALOG~1.03\ANALOG.EXE: Warning R: Turning off empty Internal Search Query Report G:\ANALOG~1.03\ANALOG.EXE: Warning R: Turning off empty Internal Search Word Report There should have been *SOMETHING* to report. I've examined at least one of the files I ran Analog against, and found the following instances (at a minimum): 2001-11-18 00:06:19 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /pointer.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:19 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /pointer.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:33 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:34 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:36 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /pointer.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:48 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:48 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:51 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) 2001-11-18 00:06:52 63.242.77.122 - 1.1.200.11 80 GET /NL.asp url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pageIwant.html 302 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+5.01;+Windows+98) (not the real url, of course). Since I'm looking at 18 such log files for one report, and since this is a small excerpt from just one of them, I don't think I have an argsfloor issue. I agree with you that I'd prefer to use the INTSEARCHENGINE feature. I'm new to this and need the simplist approach.
