-I already checked the archive, and the search tool doesn't return any hits
-on "aspexec", but I know we discussed this before.
-I considered doing this myself, but as I remember it, I couldn't figure
-out what some of the perl script was trying to do, so I went with
-anlgform.exe instead. (I used an ASP form, so I got all the advantages of
-ASP, without having to translate the perl script).
-Indeed, from what I recall, you don't even need aspexec to run Analog.exe
-under IIS, but that might only have been true for earlier versions of IIS.

I'm fixing this to run in a unique envorinment too. Since I have several
websites running on IIS, I wanted to be able to run it selectively for each
one (based on a login). When the user logs in, I use the login to recurse a
block of folders on the server and write a text file of "logfile" commands
(for folders that have data in them) and "from" and "to" commands. Then, I
was going to execute analog with a unique cfg file for each user using the
"-gdomainspecific.cfg -G" parameters. The cfg file would dynamically
include the commands written to the file above. This method allows me to
sort my log files by date into folders and to control the input and output
filenames by user. The program handles the search for files to be included
dynamically--I can add or takeaway without making modifications to the
scripts. This is currently working.
I think that something similar will work using anlgform. I haven't noticed
a way to pass the parms ("-gdomainspecific.cfg -G") to anlgform.exe so I may
have to have a form for each user and then customize it and the cfg files
from there. Once the user is validated I would jump to the appropriate form
for that user. Since anlgform handles the parms I was asking the user to
enter on another form (e.g. FROM and TO), I will only have to handle
limiting the input to user logged in. This would allow me to present each
user a custom app and organize my log files the way I want to.
If anyone else is working on similar program for IIS, the work I have
completed is available. Thanks again to everyone who made suggestions.
