Just to clarify (for myself, and perhaps anyone interested):

I finally figured out that one way to "right" the Browser
Summary Report (at least) is to re-mangle actual User Agent
strings in the logfiles to mimic the format: browser/version.

Doing so permits presentation of a larger number of browser
classes in a hierarchical fashion using SUBROW directives.

So:

"AWeb/Windows; (Spoofed by Amiga-AWeb/3.4)"
BROWALIAS *(Spoofed by Amiga-AWeb/*) Amiga-AWeb/$2

"Links (0.96; Linux 2.4.13 i586)"
BROWALIAS "Links (*; *)" Links/$1

And so forth. I guess I'll aggregate the formulations
I come up with and post them somewhere for anyone to
grab. Should anyone have their own formulations, I'd
be happy to add them to the list (provided they can
offer the original User Agent strings supporting the
BROWALIAS rules produced) -- just send along an email
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ...

Again, thanks Stephen for taking time to respond and
in giving me a little breathing room to figure these
things out.
