Under Windowzzzzzz run the application from a .bat file like -

call analog.exe +g"filename.cfg" -G

The window does not close untill you close it.
Also set the .cfg file to a basic start up for the first time -

debug on
warnings on
outfile c:/some/sort/of/directory/structure/default.html
errfile c:/some/sort/of/directory/structure/default.txt

On running the application, the window will stay open and tell you where and
what the error file is. You can then tweak the filename.cfg from there.
This stops the "I didn't see the error message" problem.
