Apple, in their infinite wisdom, has made it impossible for Carbon applications to access the "var" folder. If you drag and drop the log from somewhere inside of there Analog can't open it. The command line version of Analog doesn't have this particular problem (it is a Darwin application). Telling Analog to open "access_log.txt" won't work if the log file is really named "access_log". I'd like to see the exact configuration you were using that got an "the application has unexpectedly quit" error. I've never seen that one before. Could you send me a compressed copy of your configuration files (analog.cfg and manconf.cfg) that trigger this crash? Send them to me directly, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, not to the Analog mailing list. This crash doesn't really matter, the configuration you used to trigger it wouldn't work anyway, but I would like to figure out what is going wrong. There are two approaches that will work. You need to either make a copy of the "access_log" file in the Analog folder, and drag and drop that copy, or you can make a symbolic link to the access_log file in the Analog folder using the command line tools. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | This is the analog-help mailing list.
