Have you told Analog to do DNS lookups? It doesn't by default, because they are far slower than anything else that Analog does. A log that can be analysed in a minute without lookups may take hours the first time you enable DNS lookups. To enable DNS lookups, specify a DNSFILE, and then specify DNS WRITE. Analog will cache the addresses to the DNSFILE that you specify, so that the next time it will be faster. http://www.analog.cx/docs/dns.html If you log file contains more than a few hundred hosts, you will want to acquire one of the DNS helper applications at http://www.analog.cx/helpers/index.html#dns Aengus +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | This is the analog-help mailing list.
