I read everything (Analog docs, FAQ, list archives) and am still at a loss!
How can I set up my analog.cfg file for multiple Virtual hosts when my big
ol access_log file comes up with this format (has no %v):
./analog: Warning L: Large number of corrupt lines in logfile
/var/log/httpd/access_log: turn debugging on or try different LOGFORMAT
Current logfile format:
%S %j %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b "%f" "%B"\n
%S %j %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r" %c %b "%f" "%B"\n
%S %j %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%r" %c %b "%f" "%B"\n
An snippet of my access_log from Analog's DEBUG:
C: (%v in file prefix but no VHOST in line)
C: 68.55.64.103 - - [23/Jun/2002:19:12:36 -0500] "GET
/yorkismallimages/yorkiepoemframed.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 1528
"http://www.dogsarepeople.com/yorki/gifts.html" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible;
MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90; Q312461)"

www.dogsarepeople.com is one of my Virtual Hosts but I was not sure if I
could replace %v with something else and then output multiple cache files.
I'm not even sure how to do that!
What can I put in my analog.cfg file instead of:
LOGFILE /var/log/httpd/access_log http://www.%v.com
I've got these other lines in analog.cfg as well:
SUBDIR /*/*/
SUBDIRFLOOR -3r
SUBDIRSORTBY REQUESTS
DNS WRITE
CACHEOUTFILE /usr/bin/dnscache
CACHEFILE /usr/bin/dnscache
PROGRESSFREQ 10000
REFLINKINCLUDE *
Since I have multiple Virtual Hosts in my httpd.conf that output to ONE
access_log file right now, and I want to create multiple Analog Reports for
each Virtual Host without having to create a different .cfg file, I'm not
sure what to do. I also have older, rolled uncompressed access_log's
(access_log.1, access_log.2, etc) in the same directory that I'd like to
include in the reports. I also want multiple report.dat OUTFILES for Report
Magic per Virtual Host.
I tried configuring and using the PHP scripts submitted by James Linden from
http://analog.lindensys.net as an alternative but received an error when
typing
./mkanalog.php noqualoifyrealestate.com test/:
./mkanalog.php: ?: No such file or directory
./mkanalog.php: /bin: is a directory
./mkanalog.php: Analog: command not found
./mkanalog.php: Author:: command not found
./mkanalog.php: http://analog.lindensys.net: No such file or directory
./mkanalog.php: Analog:: command not found
./mkanalog.php: Modified:: command not found
./mkanalog.php: test/: is a directory
./mkanalog.php: line 11: syntax error near unexpected token `60'
./mkanalog.php: line 11: ` set_time_limit( 60 );'
I added php to the <? top part the scripts, but the errors remained the
same. PHP is running fine on my server and I followed the instructions on
James's website to a 'T'.
My server setup is:
Server Version: Apache/1.3.23 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.7
OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.3 PHP/4.1.2 mod_perl/1.26
Server Built: Jun 19 2002 11:55:23
Suggestions? Hints?
