I did see that particular example, just wasn't sure about substituting IPs for hostnames. I'm about a week old analog-wise and a bit swamped with combing through the docs. Thanks for pointing it out, though.

HOSTEXCLUDE 192.168.* Well, it's in there as the first example, but you might have missed it. The example shows a host name, but you can give IP addresses too, assuming that the IP range you are excluding doesn't resolve (or you are not resolving names).
