Aw man...  Wish I had figured that out *before* I ditched that 1200 lines.
Finally figured out why the server wasn't logging in combined format.
Apparently, when you use the GUI admin panel on an Intel NetStructure 1010
Net Appliance to set up a new domain, it completely re-writes (and
overwrites) the httpd.conf file, resetting everything back to common
format...
It's a pain, but, I have a workaround...
