Hello, I've just run into a rather odd problem that I can't see to resolve.
Analog seems to get stuck in a loop while writing the output (In this case an HTML File)! The first time I noticed this was yesterday, I ran Analog on one month's worth of logs, and where it normally takes 10 minutes, it was still going after an hour ... When I noticed it was taking longer than usual, I monitored the process a bit, an dnoticed the momry usage was still fluctuating, and it was still running and taking up CPU resources ... But it never ended, I ended up killing it ... At that point I noticed that PART of the report had been written, it had stopped in the middle of the failure report ... So anyways, I do it again, and same behavior happens, though it dies in a different place in the report ... I turn on debugging and set DEBUG -C, and everything is ok, until it says: F: Opening /usr/local/apache/htdocs/analog-atlas/01-31-2003.html as output file Then it just sits there forever ... Again I eventually kill it. One thing noteworthy, when I hit CTRL-C, analog says: ./analog: Received interrupt signal: exiting But then outputs a few more lines in the report! So, has anybody seen this before? Should the output writing take so long? Is this a bug? Like I said, on say november, for 13 Million hits, it took 10 minutes ... Now for 16 million hits (I do get to see the summary), it just sits there abnormally long (Like I said the first time I must've waited a good hour). Oh and no, there's no DNS work of any kind going on ... I'm not generating host/domain related reports at all, and have no related parameters in the config file. Help?
