Terry, note the *name* of the log file it's ignoring: /var/log/httpd/error_log. Analog will only be interested in /var/log/httpd/access_log, and will naturally ignore the error log which has a different format -- and which is irrelevant to your analysis needs anyway.

I'm assuming that you *are* getting output?

I am using RedHat 8.0 and setup analog to watch my Apache logs. I get the
following error message. Looking the message up just says the log is miss
formatted for automatic analysis. But when I look at the log file I see
nothing wrong.

I have no special log configurations in Apache or Analog.

/etc/cron.hourly/analog: analog version 5.31/Unix /etc/cron.hourly/analog: Warning F: Can't auto-detect format of logfile /var/log/httpd/error_log: ignoring it (For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)

Thanks in advance for the help
