I've tried understanding docs/args.html and docs/logfmt.html but am still a bit confused on a couple points. I want to do some analysis of searches on my site (which uses IIS) so I've enabled query string logging. It looks like I need to specify a custom LOGFORMAT to do this. No problem so far. Then I noticed the %u can be either a user or a cookie? I'm logging both users and cookies already. How do I distinguish between these fields? The directive in my log is as follows:
#Fields: date time c-ip cs-username cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query sc-status sc-bytes cs-version cs(User-Agent) cs(Cookie) cs(Referer)
Any tips, examples, or advice appreciated.
