I was thinking of changing anyhow, and now might be a
good time, as I haven't touched this in a long while.
That way, I'll just start from scratch. Would there be
anything to cause the logs to lose the data?

Haven't touched it, and it was working before.

Nope. Even so, wouldn't the log (non-rolled over)
still have the OLD info still in there?
