My logfiiles are rotated daily by the cronolog program into folders like (/home-dir/yr-mo-dy-file) --> eg - /export/home/mooky/www/logs/2004/01/10/mysite-access.log

The LOGFILE doc mentions using variables, but says they may not work for the directory path on some systems... which systems are these? I'm on Solaris 9.

Will this log organization cause problems for analog reprts? I'm thinking in terms of weekly, monthly, etc. reports.

Should I just keep the logs in one directory by year, one per day? Or one file? What's the best strategy?

Thanks!
-M
