One of the things you can do the accuratly track Adobe files is:
Have your page with all you related links (i.e. the acrobat files in this case) with a short description what is in each one, then
Have each acrobat file on its own HTML file (where you also let them know that this is a adobe file & provide the link to adobe to get acrobat).
That way you can be semi-sure, that they were somewhat intrested in the document. (they went to the file html page).
Acrobat 6 defaults to fast-view, while v4 didnt have that feature. (I, turned mine off, since i never know if im going to be dsl, wireless or dial up from day to day)
