I don't have an answer to your question, but be aware that this will introduce 
other inaccuracies.  For example, our campus has about 5000 IP addresses 
assigned to computers.  Some are static and some are dynamic.  Dynamic ones get 
reassigned so the computer using it today may not be the same computer using it 
tomorrow.  More significantly, all of our connections to the Internet are 
routed through a couple of dozen proxy servers, so you will actually only see 
those addresses rather than the ones assigned to the user's computer. 

Statistics are such unreliable things...  :(
