We have configured IIS5 to use custom error page recently in order to
provide viewers with a more friendly and helpful page. But since then
the 404 statistics has disappeared from the Status Code Report and the
custom error page statistics has shown in both the Request Report and
the Directory Report.
Is there anyway around this? We would like to keep 404 in the Status
Code Report. Thanks.
No, because there is no 404. If you do this, the server returns a 200 (OK)
response code, not a 404 (Not Found).
You can change your custom errors pages to set the page status to 404.
But this may mean the page does not show on default configured IE.
