Ah, so. I think I just saw that also in the source for LookupIP, which gets the same result ~ DNS lookup identified to the TDI with LookupIP, followed by nbname lookup from "System." It's the gethostbyaddr() routine doing it.
AnalogX's QuickDNS apparently calls something else, then.
I think I'll go get two empty soup cans and some waxed string, just for the simplicity.
