Yes, I do specify both the path to each log file and each full URL in
multiple LOGFILE statement, such as:

LOGFILE /var/adm/httpd/2004/3dparks.wr.usgs.gov-access_log-2004*
http://3dparks.wr.usgs.gov

but thanks anyway.

You said that you are including "http://hostname";
with the LOGFORMAT command.  Is that right,
or are you using "http://hostname"; as the second
argument in the LOGFILE command?  If you're
using the LOGFILE command, are you using the
full name (hostname.domain.tld) or just hostname?
When looking at the Analog documentation page at
"http://www.analog.cx/docs/logfile.html#secondarg";
it appear that you need to state the full name like this
LOGFILE mydomain.log http://www.mydomain.com
