I'm getting the "Fatal error: Ran out of memory" message on one of the reports I run. I read through some of the list archives for tips, but I couldn't figure out what causes the error message. (i.e. Am I out of physical memory? Am I out of virtual memory? Am I out of addressable memory?)
If more physical RAM or a 64bit processor/OS would take care of the error, I'd rather do that that futz with lowmem commands (which didn't seem to help last time I tried to tackle this). Here are some of the specs I'm working with: Analog 6 Windows XP Pro 1.5 GB RAM 4 GB pagefile 4.11 GB log data 2.4 GB commit change peak Error log: analog: [06:34:43] 500000 lines read ...time passes... analog: [07:41:41] 352500000 lines read analog: [07:42:01] 353000000 lines read analog: Fatal error: Ran out of memory: cannot continue: exiting +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.meer.net/mailman/listinfo/analog-help | | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives +------------------------------------------------------------------------
