I'm trying to use the Macintosh version of Analog compiled by Jason
Linhart.

I can get it working fine with the log files sitting in the same
directory as the program and helper files.

However, when I try to point the LOGFILES to directories, it fails,
with this error message

analog: analog version 6.0/Mac analog: Warning F: Cannot open
directory 68.92.51.34:: won't expand wildcards
68.92.51.34:access.log.*.gz (For help on all errors and warnings, see
docs/errors.html) analog: Warning F: Failed to open logfile
68.92.51.34:access.log.*.gz: ignoring it

These commands work, assuming I move the log files into the Analog 6.0
Folder.

LOGFILE access.log.*.gz
LOGFILE "access.log.*.gz"

These commands do not work, with the 68.92.51.34 folder sitting in the
Analog 6.0 Folder.

LOGFILE "68.92.51.34:access.log.*.gz"
LOGFILE "68.92.51.34/access.log.*.gz"
LOGFILE 68.92.51.34/access.log.*.gz
LOGFILE 68.92.51.34:access.log.*.gz

I've read the FAQ, mailing list archives for the past 6 months, and
Googled for this without any luck. I did learn a bunch of useful tips
though :-)

I'm sure it's real simple, but I've run out of variations to try. And
what I really want to do is an absolute path, as opposed to just a
relative path within the Analog 6.0 Folder.

Can somebody point me in the right direction or should I just compile
the Unix version and give up on a Mac GUI.

Thanks for any tips and thanks to Stephen and Jason.
