Hi,
I have read through lots of stuff but am unable to find how MRTG
graphs can be constructed from Analog output. Can anyone help?
I think you'll have to explain in greater detail what it is you are
trying to achieve. It's not immediately obvious what exactly you
expect MRTG to produce.

Through Analog, I record all my site's activities like hits and the
referrer reports and the kind...now I wish to use MRTG to read
Analog's output and provide legend graphs like comparisons between 2
referrers and their yearly, monthly stats. I would like to check our
affiliates and our natural helper sites and compare them as well. Is
this possible?
I think that's more a question for an MRTG list than for an Analog list. You
can set Analog to generate just a list of bare statistics (OUTPUT COMPUTER)
but I've no idea how you would configure MRTG to use that information.

Well, I think this problem is less than trivial and would need
assistance from both camps. What you will probably need to do is develop
your own script that parses the Analog computer-readable output format
or XML format and converts it to a set of fields to store with RRDtool.
Then use RRDtool to record the time series data for your reports and
(possibly) use MRTG for generating charts.
If you need help interpreting the COMPUTER output or XML output, see the
Analog documentation files (http://analog.cx/docs/compout.html and
http://analog.cx/docs/output.html#outstyle and the bundled DTD for XML)
and refer to the experts on this list.
If you need help designing your RRD database, updating the data store or
configuring MRTG, then the mailing lists for those products are the best
place.
I don't think anyone has done this before so I think you are largely on
your own in terms of deciding what data to store, how to record changes,
and how to build the transaction process between the two systems.
