I don't really know where to look either, unless you can produce a logfile
that's demonstrably wrong. But here are a few more ideas:
If you run it twice consecutively, do you get the same answer, or is it
sometimes right and sometimes wrong? Are the logfiles on a network share
that could sometimes break? If you turn on the Daily Report (with the
bytes column turned on), do the bytes add up to the right total? Are there
days without any traffic, or are all the days a bit too low?
