Using analog 6.0.

I used one of the DNS lookup utilities to create a "DNSFILE" and it
seems to have done the job. However, I am unable to get Analog to make
use of this file when creating the Host Report - I just get the
numerical IP addresses that appear in my log file.

I also notice that when I use a "translated" IP address in my
HOSTEXCLUDE statement (for example, HOSTEXCLUDE 66-122-165-163.sjvls.org
in place of HOSTEXCLUDE 66.122.165.163) that the host is not excluded -
another case of Analog not making use of my DNSFILE. I see nothing
amiss in the errors.txt file, although when I deliberately misspell the
name of the DNSFILE I do get a report that Analog was unable to open the
file.

I was able to Google up a another report of the problem I describe but
in that case the responders who tried to help were not able to duplicate
the problem.

I'm wondering if someone can suggest what I might be doing wrong, or an
experiment I might try.

Thanks for your attention.
Tom
