Well, the first thing you need to remember is that requests to your
server may not include all clicks on an advertisement. It's possible
that a browser or ISP could cache the page that was requested. I am not
sure what "unique" means -- perhaps not counting two clicks from the
same person? That kind of information is impossible to track without
some sign-in system and can at best be estimated (but not with Analog)

See http://analog.cx/docs/webworks.html for more about the discrepancy
between real-world concepts and the data found in your logs.

That stated, you could find out the number of requests, each day, for a
particular file by running an a report against your log files and using
FILEINCLUDE to specify the "click target" of a particular ad.

Subject: [analog-help] Analog log file analyzer: unique clicks

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to interpret the unique daily clicks from my
logs?
This a request I'm getting from someone interested in advertising on my
website. He wants to know the unique clicks on a daily basis. I assume
he
means the number of clicks from unique visitors.

Here's my stats page:
http://www.scottkeen.com/stats/index.html

It's configured with ReportMagic.

Thanks,

Scott
