I should also point out that Stephen has always been open to receiving patches (which is how the most successful Linux apps and open source projects work). Although from my own experience (I can't speak for Stephen on this one), when you have very little time to devote to an open source project, sometimes even evaluating and accepting a patch (especially a significant one) and then committing to releasing an update with that support can overrun one's available time.
